Antibiotics and You - Social Media Content for Partners
We have launched a new website that aims to educate patients about the dangers of taking antibiotics when they are not needed. AntibioticsandYou.org was created for a research project we conducted in urgent care clinics across the US, but now is being released nationally as an education tool for the general public.
A main goal of the website is to dispel many myths about antibiotics including the belief that these drugs can fight the common cold or the flu. The interactive website also features a quiz to dispel myths around antibiotic use as well as an antibiotic superhero who has fallen ill but still does his part to protect antibiotics. We hope you will consider helping us promote this new tool through your social media channels. This page contains an e-newsletter story, social media posts and graphics for use by our partners. The messaging on the Website is based on qualitative and quantitative research we conducted several years ago. The website was made possible with funding from Merck and in partnership with the Urgent Care Association.
