Research Center Manager
Meaghen Murphy serves as the Research Center Manager for ARAC. Previously, Meaghen worked for the Departments of Infectious Disease and Pathology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine as well as the National Institutes of Health Intermural Research Program. Prior to her work at Johns Hopkins, Meaghen worked for various non-profits and NGOs in New York City, Chicago, and Philadelphia as both an instructor and a development director. Many of these multidisciplinary projects focused on public health interventions for at-risk youth in impoverished urban settings. Through her extensive international experience, having travelled and studied throughout South America, Africa, Europe and Asia, she has gained a global perspective on the issues impacting human and environmental health. Her personal interests revolve around sustainable development and food systems studies, and she continues to develop curricula for adolescents centered on food science, agriculture, and nutrition. Meaghen currently holds a Bachelor's of Arts from Columbia University and Master’s of Science from the University of Edinburgh.
